Running Linux in Windows

Being stuck fairly fast in an Microsoft environment, I am a little apprehensive about diving right into Linux so I’m always keen to try new ways of trying it without having to go to far away from the tools and the OS with which I am most familiar. I recently saw a clip on YouTube showing a clip of the Beryl 3D desktop and was pretty impressed. It really proves that there are some contenders that can really live up to the UI standards that Vista is hoping to make. Immediately I found myself wanting it like a kid looking through a toy-shop window so finding a link to an article on Digg explaining how to run (pretty much) any flavour of Linux you like through a free VMWare player got me even closer. If you fancy giving it a go then follow the dead easy instructions at http://www.lifehack.org/articles/technology/beginners-guide-run-linux-like-any-other-program-in-windows.html and you’ll be up n’ running in minutes. If I can do it then you can too!
